What Will You Learn in the Seven Principles Program?

The main goal of The Seven Principles Couples Program is to help couples strengthen their relationships in a variety of ways including deepening their love maps, fostering fondness and admiration, facilitating turning toward each other, accepting influence, solving solvable problems, overcoming gridlock, creating shared meaning, and maintaining gains.

Gottman has been the leading expert for close to 50 years on relational research. The best-selling book, “The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work” contains valuable information, personal assessment questionnaires and practical tools for improving your relationship. The workshop’s format is a series of short teaching units that are paired with plenty of personal couple time. You’ll have time to deepen your relationship, explore new skills and talk together about dreams and expectations.  Our goal is that when you head for home you’re re-connected and ready to apply these new skills in your daily lives.

This workshop is appropriate for couples just starting out on the marriage track or on the way toward the marriage world record.  This is a good workshop to re-connect, grow together and work on marital and family goals. In most instances this workshop is recommended for all couples as it enhances a good marriage and will provide skills to support a struggling relationship. This workshop will cover many of the skills learned in couples therapy.
