Mark Jimerson

Mark Jimerson is a co-founder of CrossPoint Clinical Services and a permanent member of its Board of Directors. Prior to moving to Puerto Rico in 2018, he served as CrossPoint’s Treasurer and Director of Operations and provided both clinical treatment and supervision.

Mark is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, having earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) at Springfield College, with postgraduate clinical supervision in mental health crisis and psychotherapy. He has a wide range of experience in the field of human services, including work with the chronically mentally ill and homeless in New York City. He worked in various clinical, supervisory, and managerial roles at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children from 1999 to 2014. In 2002 he received a Supporting Fathering Award at the New England Fathering Conference, and in 2003 he was presented with the Helen Daley Award for service on behalf of the children of Massachusetts.

Mark is a husband and father of four adult children. He provides psychotherapy, life coaching, and consultation services via his private practice based in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, painting, photography and gardening.

Carmen L Lopez, LMHC, M. Ed., School Adjustment Counselor

Carmen is a licensed clinician who completed a dual LMHC/School Adjustment Counselor counseling program at Cambridge College in 2017. Over the past 8 years, she has built a solid career as an adjustment counselor, specializing in supporting young adults as they navigate the transition into adulthood. In addition to her full-time role as an adjustment counselor, Carmen has worked part-time as a clinician, where she has focused on empowering individuals to overcome challenges and develop healthy coping strategies.

Her clinical areas of focus include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, couples therapy, family and child counseling, as well as work with adolescents, young adults, veterans, and individuals dealing with immigration-related mental health concerns.

Throughout her career, Carmen has remained committed to working closely with families, particularly in addressing educational concerns and fostering positive patterns that support both academic success and emotional well-being. She takes great care in helping families understand and address the unique needs of students, ensuring a holistic approach that integrates emotional and educational support.

In addition to her work with individuals and families, Carmen works extensively with couples, fostering strong relationships built on empathy, understanding, and mutual respect. Her approach to couples therapy emphasizes active listening, compassion, and collaboration, guiding couples toward healthier communication and more harmonious relational dynamics.

Darren M. Waterhouse, MS, LPC

Darren Waterhouse is a dedicated disciple with nearly 32 years of experience and has been a therapist for approximately 10-12 years. Over the years, he has worked with a wide range of populations, providing counseling to individuals from ages 8 to 80. Darren has helped people navigate various challenges, including substance abuse, methadone treatment, personality disorders, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and many other mental health concerns.

In addition to his professional experience, Darren has specialized in helping individuals cope with the emotional difficulties that accompany chronic illness and other medical conditions, drawing on both his training and personal life experiences. Currently, he serves as a Christian therapist, using his skills to support others in their spiritual and emotional journeys.

Within his church, Darren plays an active role by leading a married ministry group, guiding the teen ministry, and occasionally assisting with a Unity Group. His passion lies in working with youth and families, both in his church community and the broader community. Beyond his therapeutic and church work, Darren also volunteers in his town, holding two board positions and chairing a committee.

Darren’s ultimate goal is to help as many people as possible not only strengthen their relationship with God but also find peace and well-being in their mind, soul, and body.

Day’sha Ramsey, MS LMHC

Day’sha Ramsey is a licensed mental health counselor that has been practicing for over 7 years with extensive training in working with children and families. She is certified in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality, and is adding on certifications in Christian based Therapy.

Additionally, Day’sha looks forward to the advancement of society and human growth and development. She is a continuous learner and strives to be proficient and productive in every endeavor. She believes in healing through God, therapeutic intervention, and self- care. Day’sha is always happy to carefully utilize and cherish our precious commodity of time.

Victoria A. Salal, MSW, LICSW

Victoria completed the Advanced Standing Master’s Degree Program in 2001 from Springfield College. She received her degree in the field of social work. She went on to obtain a Post Master’s Certificate in Advanced Practice with Children and Adolescents in 2009 from Springfield College.

Victoria also became certified as a Certified Batterer’s Intervention Counselor in 1997 and facilitated groups until 2000 at the Gandara Mental Health Center.

She has also received licensure from the National Christian Counselors Association as a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor. In addition, she was licensed as a Minister from New Creation Discipleship Ministry in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Victoria currently works full-time for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Department of Children and Families as an Ongoing Supervisor. She has worked for the Department for over 23 years where she works with a focus on ensuring safety for children, building and strengthening the family unit, as well as assisting foster parents as they work to provide a safe space for children affected by trauma.

She has done outpatient therapy work through the Community Services Institute and completed her student internship at Rebecca Johnson School as a School Adjustment Counselor. Victoria was also employed at the Big Brothers and Big Sister Agency assessing the needs of children and screening volunteers who serviced them.
Victoria has a passion for working with individuals who have struggle with co-dependency, trauma, domestic violence issues, and childhood related trauma.

She is a mother of two adult daughters and a proud grandmother of five grandchildren. She is a devoted wife, a stepmother to four adults and step-grandmother to step-grandmother to eight children. She loves to read and enjoys writing.

Flava LaFern Galbreath, LICSW, MSW, CGP

Flava is an “out-of-the-box” therapist who identifies as a human being with a passion to spur along the growth/change process in small sustainable increments with her love of the outdoors and animals for anyone who may not be noticed/valued. Her Hoosier roots show strengths of authenticity, unconditional support and flexibility.

With experiences at an opiate treatment center, in-home family therapy and telehealth support, Flava balances therapy with longtime careers in refereeing women’s lacrosse, basketball and field hockey as well as in landscaping. Her recent MSW degree from Salem State University includes being a Certified Grief Professional (CGP) and supports figuring out the grieving process.

Flava describes her support as eclectic with nods to the metaphysical and utilizes Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Dr. Candyce Burke Auguste, PsyD

Dr. Burke Auguste is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She has experience treating anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns and racism-based trauma. Additionally, she has helped many people navigate identity development and interpersonal relationship concerns. Candyce has a therapeutic style that is warm, empowering and collaborative. She views it as an honor to walk alongside individuals and bear witness to their experiences. It is a priority of hers to cultivate a supportive, safe and liberated space for people of all backgrounds to be their authentic self.

As an integrative clinician, Candyce’s work is influenced by a relational, humanistic, and social justice lens guided by the specific needs and preferences of each individual. Candyce frequently utilizes motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, self-compassion and mindfulness skills to foster meaningful change. In addition to making room to explore challenges, she believes that it is essential to focus on an individual’s strengths and both internal and external resources to make room for healing.

Candyce enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, creating arts and crafts and cuddling with her dog. She is very proud of the prayer and meditation space she has created in her home and tries to spend time there regularly. She is a self-proclaimed “foodie” and enjoys cooking. She also enjoys listening to jazz, R&B, and gospel music and loves podcasts that speak to her identities and culture.

Danielle Wegrzyn

Danielle is an LICSW with decades of experience working with a variety of ages and demographics in the social work field. Danielle’s main areas of focus include maternal mental health, young adults, life transitions, and the complimentary integration of faith and mental health.

Danielle is a compassionate, non-judgmental, and motivated therapist who aims to help clients find peace, increase their health and wellness, utilize tools to decrease anxiety, and find a safe place for support.

Using a lighthearted and humorous approach, Danielle tailors all therapy to the client’s needs and desires. She has been trained in multiple therapy models and uses a variety of clinical approaches to work alongside her clients to achieve their goals.

Danielle deeply enjoys her work and is committed to helping her clients find wholeness and strength in their lives.

Locations: Danielle offers primarily teletherapy, but currently works one day a week from an office on Newbury St. in Danvers, MA.

Cynthia A. Swan

Cynthia is a committed community leader and mental health professional. She has an outstanding reputation of helping others and has years of experience working within both the faith community and within the community at large providing a myriad of counseling and mental health services. Cynthia believes that everyone deserves to live their best life, and sometimes it will take a therapist/counselor to get us there.

Cynthia is knowledgeable in evidenced-based practices and has training and experience with individual, family, and group therapy approaches utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Christian Counseling. She continues to stay abreast of new approaches/modalities and interventions in the mental health field. Cynthia has experience treating clients and groups with anxiety, depression, anger and low self esteem. She also has extensive experience working with adults with domestic violence, substance abuse recovery, single parenting, racial trauma, and other related backgrounds.

Cynthia has held both administrative supervisory and clinical positions. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Springfield College, a Master’s degree from American International College, and a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Springfield College. Cynthia currently is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts

Jennifer L. Rosario, MSW, LICSW

Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 20 years of experience in a variety of clinical settings. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Family Studies from Messiah College, then graduated with her MSW from Springfield College School of Social Work in 2006. She has worked with children and teens in outpatient clinics and residential treatment settings, as well as offering mental health consultation to parents and childcare providers. She has also worked with adults, including those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, complicated grief, chronic illness/disability, and other challenges.

Jennifer has completed specialized training related to complex trauma and attachment issues, and her passion is supporting families to form strong, healthy relationships that promote positive outcomes for children. This passion extends beyond child-focused interventions and may include couples/family therapy to improve communication, strengthen marriages, and/or support effective co-parenting arrangements. Jennifer has been trained in multiple therapy models, and most often uses an eclectic approach, adapting her interventions according to the needs and preferences of each client.

Jennifer explains, “Leading with empathy, I seek to fully understand each person’s situation and experience, and offer a ‘no shame, no blame’ approach to clients and the issues that brought them to therapy. Starting in the first session, I ask questions and listen carefully to clarify factors contributing to a person’s challenges, and to highlight strengths and resources that can help the client reach their goals.”

She offers daytime and some evening appointments, in person and/or by teletherapy. She encourages new clients to start by attending in-person sessions to establish a strong therapeutic connection. In person therapy is also recommended for children, and she often encourages parents/caregivers of young children to participate in some sessions.
