This passion extends beyond child-focused interventions and may include couples/family therapy to improve communication, strengthen marriages, and/or support effective co-parenting arrangements. Jennifer has been trained in multiple therapy models, and most often uses an eclectic approach, adapting her interventions according to the needs and preferences of each client.

Jennifer explains, “Leading with empathy, I seek to fully understand each person’s situation and experience, and offer a ‘no shame, no blame’ approach to clients and the issues that brought them to therapy. Starting in the first session, I ask questions and listen carefully to clarify factors contributing to a person’s challenges, and to highlight strengths and resources that can help the client reach their goals.”

She offers daytime and some evening appointments, in person and/or by teletherapy. She encourages new clients to start by attending in-person sessions to establish a strong therapeutic connection. In person therapy is also recommended for children, and she often encourages parents/caregivers of young children to participate in some sessions.
