Christen earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Springfield College in 2013. She is licensed for independent practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Connecticut. Prior to becoming a therapist, Christen served in the Army for several years. Christen has experience with a variety of populations including individuals who are forensically involved, individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental illness and individuals with neurobehavioral disorders. Christen primarily works with adolescents and adults at any stage of life who are seeking to transform their suffering to become the person they are meant to be. Christen believes in the transformative nature of a strong therapeutic alliance and uses her natural curiosity to help understand the nuances of her clients’ experiences. Christen has a deep love of learning and has various extracurricular pursuits that inform her practice.
