Maria Ortiz

Maria Ortiz, is a Bilingual ordained minister who has served as Lead Pastor of the House of Peace and Restoration in Springfield, Massachusetts since 2013. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Human Services from the Cambridge College in 2017, followed by earning her Master’s in Education in Mental Health/ Marriage and Family Therapy in 2019, from the same institution.

Maria is passionate about working with families, groups and individuals with a holistic approach. She enjoys seeing how the restorative power of the Gospel, in conjunction with evidence-based theories can have a transformation effect in the lives she has been privileged to serve. She has worked with families struggling with relationship problems, as well as individuals dealing with depression, trauma, addictions and anxiety. She considers herself Spiritual, Compassionate and eager to help others manage their life in a more holistic manner.

Alma Flores, LMHC

Alma finished her bachelor’s degree in social science from University of Puerto Rico in 1987 and her masters in Marriage and Family therapy from Phoenix University Puerto Rico Campus.  Before becoming a Mental Health counselor, she worked in the community at Punta Santiago, Puerto Rico with the young population both as a teacher and in programs to help them learn life skills to help them develop healthy lifestyles.

Later she worked in El Salvador as a missionary volunteer in the summer of 1988, helping the community learn coping skills to manage the trauma of the civil war. Since June of 2007 Alma has been working in Massachusetts with clients from 6 to 90 years-old. She helps them learn to live their life in a healthy manner by improving the quality of their relationships in their personal and work lives. This include children, adolescents, young adults, and adults – married or single, living alone or in a family setting.

She has vast experience working with individuals and families using a variety of techniques to help them learn to manage their lives in a healthy manner and improve their way of life. Alma is a very compassionate, spiritual and energized therapist with the desire to assist people to improve their lives.

Adminda Scott

Adminda is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and Mental Health Counselor. She graduated from American International College with her doctorate in Educational Psychology in 2018 and a master’s degree from Springfield College in the areas of Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2007. She describes herself as a caring, compassionate individual who prioritizes creating a safe therapeutic environment that offers unconditional positive regard without judgment. She beliefs the starting point of a therapeutic relationship is meeting individuals where they are and partnering with those individuals on their journey to wellness, wholeness, and full potential. Adminda enjoys working with children, youth, young adults, couples, and families with various mental health needs.
